Introduction
For many sailors, transitioning into a new youth class provides an opportunity to showcase the skills developed already in the junior/youth pathway, whilst being able to learn new skills and behaviours which will stay with you for the rest of your life. The Nacra 15 provides the perfect platform to develop into a high-performance sailor, well equipped for your future both in sailing and in life, all whilst creating incredible memories and making lifelong friends.
In the UK, we have seen sailors from a wide range of youth and junior classes successfully transition into the Nacra 15. These include sailors from the Topper, RS Tera, RS Feva, Optimist and ILCA 4 junior classes, as well as from the ILCA 6, 420 and 29er youth classes. Regardless of your background, the Nacra 15 is the perfect pathway to your future!

Taster Sessions
The UK Nacra 15 Class Association, working with Nacra UK, offer taster sessions at any of our training camps. This provides an opportunity to join in with our established teams' training programme, sailing on the Nacra UK demo boat either in an existing partnership, or with an experienced ex-Nacra 15 sailor, supported by our class coaches. This is a unique chance to be introduced to the boat in a safe and welcoming environment, where you can hear directly from other sailors and parents who have made the step into the Nacra 15.
Nacra UK support the class with 'demo days' offering taster sessions to interested junior sailors looking to make the move transition into the Nacra 15.
We encourage all sailors interested in transitioning into the Nacra 15 to join our 'UK Nacra 15 Sailors' Facebook group to stay up to date with all class updates and future taster day information, and to express interest with Nacra UK through their online form to arrange your taster session!
